My story

so far…

I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember — always making, painting, styling or dreaming something up. Although I was never formally trained in art, creativity has always been the thread running through everything I do. Before all of this, I spent many years working as a preschool art teacher, helping little people create confidently and joyfully.

I actually started painting during maternity leave with my second baby as a creative outlet — something just for me amongst the chaos of motherhood. Not long after, an opportunity came up for a little studio space in town and, despite having a tiny baby and absolutely no idea where it would lead, I took the leap. That little colourful corner became The Tiny Studio — a place built around creativity, connection and community. It quickly found its way into the hearts of so many local families and became more than I ever imagined.

As much as I loved running workshops, events and collaborating with artists, businesses and local organisations, I slowly realised I missed creating for myself too. Around that same time, my farm map artworks began gaining beautiful momentum and reminded me just how much I loved being back in my artist era. So while I left the Darling St studio days behind, I walked away with a whole new set of skills, experiences and confidence.

These days, I paint from my home studio, balancing motherhood, creativity and all the colourful ideas constantly bouncing around in my head. I still work creatively within the community through events, preschools and creative consulting — but painting has become home again. Honestly, I’m living my absolute dream, all because I decided to back myself and try something new.
